Created for the 2013 Boston ArtCrank group show, I designed this poster with Boston’s unique bicycle culture and art world in mind: a down-to-earth sophistication and a rock ‘n roll soul that’s not too braggy.

ABOUT

ME TALKING ABOUT MYSELF

I’m a visual designer who’s done time in Los Angeles, San Diego, Boston, and Austin. I love design: a simple logo packed with meaning, a sleek and user friendly website, the chaotically intricate webbing of veins in the tissue of leaf–there is nothing more powerful to me than the flawless execution of a visual composition.

WHAT I LIKE TO DO

User Interface Design, User Experience Design, Website Design, Application Design, Branding / Logo Design

A BIT MORE

Really, it all began with my first sharpie. An entire semester of algebra II was lost to marker fumes and patterns in black and white on the back of homework assignments. I discovered that creating images proved inspiring, instinctual, and just plain fun. Even then, I could get lost in the conversation between line and form. I have an affinity for all things design and enjoy turning complex problems into simple, beautiful, and intuitive interface designs. I also love ink, paper, and typography. I’ve created logos for major companies, and have played a key role in rebranding efforts for various firms and businesses. My sensibilities are transcontinental as well. I’ve lived on both coasts and a little in the middle, and understand the nuanced needs of various clients.
